gentz Privacy Policy

Effective October 19, 2026. What gentz does with your information, what stays on your devices, and your choices.

This policy explains how Orion Technology Enterprises, Inc. ("Orion", "we") handles personal information for gentz, the mobile app for controlling Hermes, Claude Desktop, gentzo and Codex from your phone. The short version: gentz is a remote for apps on your own computer. Your agents, their conversations and their work stay on your computer and phone. We don't sell personal information, show ads, or use your data to train AI models.

1. What stays on your devices

These never reach our servers:

  • Messages and instructions you send from gentz, and the replies you get back.
  • Agents' reports, run history and escalations you view in gentz.
  • Pairing details that let your phone connect to your computer.
  • Your settings in the app.

Deleting gentz from your phone removes the data it keeps there.

2. How gentz connects to your computer

When you pair gentz with your computer, your phone connects to the apps you control over an encrypted connection. Messages and alerts travel between your phone and your computer, not through our servers.

3. The apps you control

When you send something from gentz, it goes to that app on your computer, and that app handles it under its own terms and privacy policy. For example, Claude Desktop sends requests to Anthropic, and Codex sends requests to OpenAI. When you use gentzo, the gentzo Privacy Policy applies, including to the AI provider or local model (such as alphaweb or cudaweb) your agents use. Check the policies of each app you connect, and only send information you're comfortable sharing with it.

4. Your account

If you sign in to gentz with a gentzo account, the account, team and subscription information described in the gentzo Privacy Policy applies. gentz uses it only to confirm who you are and which agents you can access.

5. Phone permissions

  • Local network: to find and connect to your computer.
  • Notifications (optional): to alert you to reports, escalations and runs that need attention.

You can turn these off at any time in your phone's settings. Some features won't work without them.

6. How we use information

  • To let you sign in and connect to your computer.
  • To provide support when you contact us.
  • To protect gentz against abuse and fraud, and to comply with the law.

7. Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only with providers that help us run our services, under contracts that protect it, as listed in the gentzo Privacy Policy. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or acquisition (in which case this policy continues to apply).

8. Your choices and rights

You can unpair your phone or delete gentz at any time. You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California) you may have additional rights, including to complain to your data protection authority. We don't sell or "share" personal information for advertising.

9. Security

Connections between gentz and your computer are encrypted. Protect your phone with a passcode and keep its software up to date, since anyone holding your unlocked phone can use gentz. No system is perfectly secure; tell us right away if you suspect someone has accessed your account or devices.

10. Children

gentz is for people 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes

We'll update this policy as gentz changes and post the new effective date here. For material changes we'll tell you in the app or by email.
